Born in New York, Rosemary Zabal is a distinguished artist known for her free-spirited style. She has spent time in Australia, Holland, and England, traveling extensively with her family, infusing her art with inspiration drawn from rich cultural experiences.

After a successful career as an Art Director and Interior Designer, Rosemary transitioned to focus on painting and creating innovative mixed-media art pieces. As a prolific artist, she masterfully communicates themes of joy and reflection through her stunning imagery, dynamic use of color, energetic brush strokes, and uninhibited style.

Her works have graced the walls of numerous museums and galleries, securing a place in various prestigious private collections. Not only does Rosemary create art that resonates with audiences, but she also dedicates her efforts to philanthropy, having raised funds for esteemed organizations such as Ramapo College, Bergen West Mental Health, and The Women’s Fund of New Jersey. As the Founder and Director of The Gallery Walk LLC, she facilitated collaborations with fellow artists to support meaningful causes.

One of her notable pieces, “Anima,” showcased at The Bergen Museum in New Jersey, marked the inception of a groundbreaking series featuring life-sized mannequins adorned with paint and an eclectic array of images, objects, and symbols celebrating the essence of life.

Today, Rosemary resides in sunny Florida, where she continues to explore her creative passions. She now dedicates much of her time to designing unique jewelry pieces, generously donating a portion of the proceeds to various fundraising initiatives, all while inspiring others through her artistic endeavors.

I work spontaneously from my imagination. I like my compositions to coax the viewer's sense of humor, and I enjoy giving them a giggle and a sense of joy. It gratifies me to touch the human spirit through my vibrantly colored images. I draw inspiration from my own experiences in observing and interacting with people--from the playfulness of a child, to the animal instinct we all possess, and the need to feel loved."
